Crans-Montana

Crans-Montana is a Swiss resort in the canton of Valais in the Bernese Alps. The Swiss are putting themselves forward as candidates for the second time in a row after failing to win the 2025 World Championships, which will be held in Saalbach, Austria.

In 1987, Crans-Montana hosted one of the nine World Championships held in Switzerland throughout the history of the competition.

It is also a frequent host on the World Cup circuit. During the 2020–2021 season it held the women's speed races.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a German city located in the state of Bavaria. Like Crans-Montana, the Germans have put themselves forward as candidates for 2027 after not winning the last bid for 2025.

The legendary Garmisch-Partenkirchen ski resort has twice hosted the Alpine World Ski Championships, in 1978 and 2011. It also hosted the Winter Olympics in 1936.

It is also a regular stop for the Great white circus and holds men's and women's events every year, especially in speed disciplines.

Narvik

Narvik is a town and municipality in Nordland County, northern Norway. Narvik, like Andorra, is putting itself forward as a candidate to host the World Championships for the first time.

Norway has never hosted an Alpine World Ski Championships, although it hosted the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo

Narvik was going to host the Junior World Championships in March 2020, although they had to be cancelled as a precaution when the coronavirus pandemic was declared.

It has only held World Cup circuit events twice, in 1992 and 1996.
